We have a person here in Gasconade County who is wanting to repackage fish and shrimp. They are purchasing large boxes of frozen fish fillets and large boxes of shrimp and are wanting to repackage into smaller portions such as 1 lb bags and 5 lb bags. The fish and the shrimp in the boxes are not packaged using reduced oxygen packaging method. Are there any particular guidelines or requirements that they would have to follow? They are currently considered wholesale and sell to restaurants and are wanting to sell smaller portions out of the back of their vehicle. Would this categorize them as a retailer? Any advice or guidance is appreciated!
