Okay! Lets talk about the upcoming RSV vaccines!
At our Health Department, we have standing orders under a local physician, we do not have a physician in office. RSV vaccines for patients 60 years and older are “based on shared clinical decision making, and discussions between the patient and their healthcare provider.”
Would you require a script from patients requesting this vaccine?

Also, nirsevimab (Beyfortus), which is a monoclonial antibody, not a vaccine, was approved for all babies up to 8 months old who are about to enter their first RSV season and for infants between 8 and 19 months who are at high risk of severe infection. Per the CDC, they are working on getting it into the VFC program. Are you planning on carrying it?

Our physician for our standing orders has not given the green light for the RSV vaccine; she would like to see more data before administering.

Same here, our physician is not giving us the green light either, because he wants more data and information about it, and that is for all age groups.
