Okay! Lets talk about the upcoming RSV vaccines!
At our Health Department, we have standing orders under a local physician, we do not have a physician in office. RSV vaccines for patients 60 years and older are “based on shared clinical decision making, and discussions between the patient and their healthcare provider.”
Would you require a script from patients requesting this vaccine?
Also, nirsevimab (Beyfortus), which is a monoclonial antibody, not a vaccine, was approved for all babies up to 8 months old who are about to enter their first RSV season and for infants between 8 and 19 months who are at high risk of severe infection. Per the CDC, they are working on getting it into the VFC program. Are you planning on carrying it?
